Ruben Loftus-Cheek spoke to the media ahead of AC Milan’s clash against Napoli this evening, hoping to secure their spot in the final of the Supercoppa Italiana on Monday.
After the disappointing draw against Sassuolo, Milan will definitely be eager to bounce back with a win tonight, which would subsequently take them to the final of the Supercoppa. However, as Napoli are the opponents, it won’t be an easy game.
Loftus-Cheek, who’s starting in the midfield once again, spoke to Mediaset a few minutes ago (via MilanNews) and admitted that it will be a difficult one. However, he also assured the Milan fans that the players are very focused.
“This match is difficult. Napoli are a great team with great players. We have to stay focused throughout the match and play football.
“We’ve prepared very well, but we have to perform on the pitch now. We’re ready. We have to be calm. More focused but calm. We’re ready, and now we just have to play football,” he stated.
The Rossoneri also have some pretty heavy absences to note, with Matteo Gabbia and Rafael Leao both missing the game. They could potentially be back for the final, but Milan’s chances of even getting there have decreased a lot without them.
