Ruben Loftus-Cheek was one of the goalscorers in AC Milan’s 2-1 win against Pisa, and afterwards, he spoke to the media about the important win.
The Englishman managed to build on his positive moment, scoring yet another goal after also getting on the scoresheet against Bologna. Considering that Max Allegri and Milan have had their fair share of problems up front this season, they certainly won’t be complaining about the recent growth.
One of the things that made Loftus-Cheek very successful under Stefano Pioli was his ability to get into the box. That is exactly what he showcased yesterday too, finding the back of the net with a great leap and header on a cross from the right-hand side.
Speaking to DAZN after the game, as transcribed by MilanNews, the former Chelsea man revealed that Allegri was screaming at the players to get into the box. The manager certainly knew what he was talking about.
Allegri really helped you out in the first half…
“There wasn’t much space between the lines. Pisa were very compact and it was difficult to play. When the ball was on the flanks, you could definitely hear the coach shouting at us to attack the box. Then came a great cross…”
Now the goal is to annoy Inter?
“I think the most important thing is to focus on ourselves. We have to think game by game and about what’s coming next. Games are difficult to win. We will take it game by game and see where we are in the end,” he stated.
