Longo: Milan have ‘earmarked’ €8m for young striker as negotiations continue

AC Milan are still hoping to secure the services of Andrej Kostic and according to a report, they have earmarked €8m for the operation in the summer.

Kostic, who currently plays for Partizan Belgrade, was heavily linked with the Rossoneri last month and at one point, the move seemed imminent. Then, the slowdown arrived and the deal was never closed.

At the age of 19, and with eight goals scored in the Serbian top flight this season, it’s no surprise that Milan are still interested in the player. Especially when you factor in his current average of a goal every 70 minutes, which is impressive indeed.

Milan have an offer in mind

According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan already have an agreement with Kostic and his agent Darko Ristic. That’s the same agent as Dusan Vlahovic has and the Rossoneri are working on both operations, albeit independently (i.e. one doesn’t depend on the other).

Partizan Belgrade have set an asking price of €10m and after offering half of that in January, Milan are willing to come up to €8m in the summer. In fact, that figure has been ‘earmarked’ by the club and it’s possible that an agreement in principle can be reached even before the summer.

While the winter attempt wasn’t a success, Milan – led by Jovan Kirovski and Zlatan Ibrahimovic – and Partizan both agreed to pick up the negotiations when the summer comes around. Especially since the player has already said yes to the move.
