After a successful start to the season, AC Milan are already thinking about how they can strengthen the squad in January, at least according to a report.
Massimiliano Allegri and his men currently have four wins to their name, out of a possible five, and currently sit at the top of the standings. In short, it has been a promising start and the defence has played a key role in that, with just three goals conceded.
However, as also pointed out by the fans, Milan don’t exactly have the best depth at the back. Koni De Winter is currently the only proper alternative to the usual trio, so a signing in January wouldn’t be that surprising.
Scouts to watch Kristensen
According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan have been very active in the last few weeks through their scouts. This weekend, the main focus will be on the clash between Udinese and Cagliari, above all to monitor the Danish centre-back Thomas Kristensen.

The 23-year-old has impressed so far this season and he could become a concrete target for January, currently valued at around €15m. In addition to him, Milan’s scouts will also be keeping tabs on the Cagliari goalkeeper Elia Caprile, as well as Udinese centre-back Oumar Solet.
For now, however, Allegri will continue to rely on Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia and Strahinja Pavlovic as the starting centre-backs. The Englishman has recovered from his injury, but De Winter could still get the nod tomorrow against Juventus.
