Longo: Milan ‘will make an attempt’ for Comuzzo – Demiral the alternative

AC Milan are expected to make an attempt for Fiorentina’s Pietro Comuzzo in the coming hours, according to a report, while Merih Demiral is the alternative.

A lot has happened in the last couple of days mercato-wise. After stating before the Cremonese game that Milan aren’t looking to sign a centre-back, Igli Tare has now changed his mind after several meetings with Max Allegri.

The manager has requested another centre-back to arrive, which makes sense given the three-man backline, and the Rossoneri are now evaluating the options out there. Comuzzo was one of the names before Koni De Winter was signed, and he’s back in fashion.

Attempt expected for Comuzzo

According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan will make an attempt for Comuzzo in the coming hours. The alternative is Demiral, who appears keen on leaving the Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli before the window closes.

Comuzzo has also been heavily linked with a move to Saudi and Al-Hilal, but as reported by Sky Italia, the young defender has turned down the move. Fiorentina had received an offer of €35m that they were willing to accept, but the deal is now off.

It remains to be seen if Fiorentina’s request will be as high when Milan come knocking, but it will still probably be around €30m despite the’ Saudi tax’.
