Lontani and Scotti thrilled with Milan Primavera’s first win: “We were lions” – video

Simone Lontani and Filippo Scotti were both delighted as Milan Primavera managed to start their season with a win.

The former was the match-winner as he scored two goals in quick succession to ensure that Giovanni Renna’s first game in charge brought three points. The home side would eventually halve the deficit, but the Rossoneri held on for a big win.

Lontani and Scotti were interviewed on Milan TV following the win against Lecce to begin the new season, and their comments were relayed by MilanPress.

Lontani: “We’re very happy with the team’s performance. We responded well after a difficult first half where we had very few shots on goal. We came out as a team, we showed it, and we also suffered together. We’re happy.”

Scotti: “We knew it was a tough team, a tough match. We immediately entered the pitch with the right mentality, just as we’d prepared during the week. These are the results.

“For me, the armband is an absolute honour, as it symbolises seniority. Otherwise, we were lions, so for me, everyone is a captain, both those on the pitch and those on the bench, and indeed the results showed.”
