Luis Diaz makes his feelings clear on post-Liverpool life with 'easy' remark

1 hour ago 1

Luis Diaz concluded his Liverpool chapter in July when he completed a switch to Bayern Munich, and he's loving life in Germany.

The Colombian has enjoyed a scintillating beginning to his Bundesliga career, netting four times while registering three assists in his first eight outings for the Bavarian club. This haul features the game-winning effort on his debut, which secured Bayern's Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup triumph, alongside a goal and two assists during his league introduction against RB Leipzig.

Playing within a devastating front four featuring Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Serge Gnabry, the quartet have already accumulated a remarkable 26 goals collectively in merely eight games.

With Bayern maintaining an unblemished campaign record, scoring 30 times while only registering fewer than three goals on one solitary occasion, it's clear that both Diaz and Vincent Kompany's side are flourishing.

Diaz has subsequently looked back on his encouraging start at Bayern, commending his colleagues for ensuring his adaptation has been smooth both on the field and behind the scenes.

"The team makes it very easy for me on the pitch," he told BILD, as quoted by Sport Witness.

"We have a lot of great players, especially up front, who don't just think about scoring goals themselves, but also help their teammates.

"That gives me a lot of security and confidence. It's incredible to play attacking games with them. They have so much quality!

"I will give my all to score a lot of goals and assists. How many I get is in God's hands. But above all, I want to win every competition with the team.

"I'm really very, very happy, and I'm feeling better and more comfortable all the time. The whole team is helping me. The dressing room is cohesive, pleasantly calm, and down-to-earth. It's very family-like.

"That, and the trust the coach immediately gave me, were very important for my great start here in Munich."

Diaz may have left England this summer, yet that hasn't stopped him from persisting with his English studies following his move to Bayern as he attempts to perfect his linguistic skills - having never given an interview to the English media during his time at Anfield.

"Not many people in our team speak Spanish, but Serge Gnabry and Joshua Kimmich can and have been very supportive," he admitted.

"I'm currently concentrating more on perfecting my English so I can communicate even better as quickly as possible."
