‘Makes him enthusiastic’ – Gimenez’s dad states Allegri-Tare axis benefits striker

This summer, AC Milan have reshuffled a little at the top. Massimiliano Allegri is the new coach, whilst Igli Tare provides a new sporting look.

There are several changes that needed to be made this summer. To their credit, Milan have got to work quickly, and now look in a much better position, on paper, for the season than the past. However, there is a need to make things click.

Up front is the big area of worry now. As of this moment, Santiago Gimenez is the only senior option at the club, which are big boots to have. Nevertheless, there is interest in adding to the department this summer.

Gimenez’s excitement

For now, though, Gimenez will be given the chance to prove himself as a capable option for Allegri, after he returned to training this week. Obviously, he has not spent as long around the new coach as others, but his father explained his enthusiasm for the season to FOX Sports MX, via MilanistiChannel.

“The only players who didn’t show up were Modric and Santi. Santi is very enthusiastic about everything that has been achieved [at Milan]. The arrival of Allegri and Tare also makes him enthusiastic.

“The intention, according to what is being said, is to play with two number 9s, It could be someone who is not a number 9, as in the case of Rafael Leao and Noah Okafor or Santi in that position. He is also excited to work with Pervis Estupinan, because he is Latin American.”
