As part of the agreement to share the Stadio Felice Chinetti, AC Milan are carrying out some work on the ground which should soon be done.
When Milan launched their ‘Milan Futuro’ project ahead of the 2024-25 season, one which began badly with relegation to Serie D, they struck a deal to use the stadium in Solbiate Arno, the home of Solbiatese. As part of this, they pledged to put money into renovations.
Work nearly done
Malpensa24 report that work continues at the Felice Chinetti, work that begun in late August 2025. It ‘should be completed by 2026’, Mayor Oreste Battiston revealed: “This is the goal we have set ourselves. The contract stipulates that the company in charge could extend the project beyond that, but we hope to reach the finish line before the end of the year.”
At this stage, the work – worth a total of nearly €2.5m, €1.6m of which was financed with a zero-interest loan from the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo – is focused on renovating the uncovered grandstand and waterproofing the storage areas.

Battiston adds: “We’ve almost finished this part. The next step will be Grandstand B , the partially covered one. We’ll also redo the changing rooms and storage areas, and then we’ll focus on the changing rooms for Sunday matches.”
In the meantime, however, to keep up with the times, the Rossoneri have already made a series of upgrades to the stadium. “Milan invested approximately €1m, adapting the stadium to Lega Pro’s requirements.
“The club took care of the lighting, the seats, the press box, and installed two generators costing approximately €400,000 to ensure full functionality even in the event of a power outage.”
In the meantime, Milan are still hoping to get back into Serie C for next season. While automatic promotion is virtually impossible, the play-offs are within reach despite a recent slide down to seventh, though there is also the hope of a potential repechage.
