It's natural to assume title-winning squads share an unwavering sense of camaraderie with one another, but one Manchester City icon has revealed he never spoke to certain team-mates

Two-time Premier League champion Joe Hart has admitted he "never had a conversation" with Carlos Tevez during their time at Manchester City. That is to say, the former England goalkeeper never shared any meaningful chat with the striker unless he was "having an argument."
Hart, 38, moved to the Etihad from Shrewsbury Town in 2006 and was already an established name at City when Tevez joined from Manchester United in 2009. And the former lifted the lid on their relationship (or lack thereof) during a recent appearance on In The Mixer, brought to you by Sky Bet.

One would naturally assume any squad capable of such an achievement would be thick as thieves, with close bonds shared off the field, too. But that wasn't necessarily the case for that iconic City side, or at least not for Hart and Tevez, who were once enemies on opposite ends of the Manchester Derby.
"I always wanted to get on with everyone," said Hart. "It's only when I look back and I laugh and I think, like I had nothing to do with the strikers unless I was having an argument with them, having banter. Knew nothing about them personally.
"And Carlos is a great example, Tevez. I was in a recent golf event with him, and I've never been slightly nervous to see someone again, because I've always got on with people. And Carlos, don't me wrong. [But] I never had a conversation with him."
It's remarkable to think the two players could be part of the same squad for four years without sharing a meaningful conversation. There was of course a language barrier to contend with as well given Tevez has said he intentionally refused to learn English.
As well as winning the Premier League together, Hart and Tevez also lifted the FA Cup one year prior in 2011. But despite any nerves Hart may have felt ahead of their reunion, those feelings quickly dissipated in what ended up being a "nice moment" for the pair.
"I worked with him a long time, but he didn't really have a conversation with many people," he continued. "Because he was just focused, and I don't hold that against him. You don't have to be best friends.
"I was actually thinking, 'When I bump into him, is he even going to remember that we played together?' And then I bumped into him, and he couldn't have been more welcoming, delighted. And I was like, 'Carlos, I didn't even know if we were going to say hello. I remember you, you just said when I played, when I play, that was how I was.' He was just a totally different person. And it was quite a nice moment actually."
Hart and Tevez represented a slight culture clash in that City squad given they came from two very different sides of the club's history. The latter was among the big expenditures conducted early on after Abu Dhabi's takeover, while Hart was one of the few faces of the pre-Abu Dhabi days who managed to retain a prominent place in City's plans.
It stands to reason there was a contrast in profiles between the pair, with Tevez a much bigger star upon arrival at the Etihad by comparison. As it turns out, however, fast conversation isn't necessarily a prerequisite to achieving big things together in football.
