Manchester City will introduce their summer signings to supporters during an open training session event at the Joie Stadium on Tuesday, August 5.

Pep Guardiola's squad return to pre-season training on July 28 and in their second week back they will train at the club's academy stadium in front of supporters. The women's first team will also train in front of fans on the same day.

Guardiola is also expected to speak to fans present, along with the quartet of new arrivals so far. Marcus Bettinelli, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki were signed in June for a combined outlay of £111million.

Ait-Nouri, Reijnders and Cherki all made their debuts during the Club World Cup in the United States but this event will be the first time many supporters have had the chance to see them in action.

A City spokesperson said: "The event, called City Are Back, aims to excite fans about the return of domestic football by offering them a chance to watch the two squads train, including seeing our new signings in action for the first time.

"Away from the pitch, younger fans can enjoy a variety of fun activities in our fan zone, including football skill challenges, photo opportunities with the mascots, and face painting. There will also be live entertainment, music from our resident DJ’s and Live music from the Paul Hand Band.

"Tickets for the special event will be priced at £5 for adults, and £3 for Under 21s and Over 65s. They will go on sale to Season Ticket Members for either of our First Teams at 10:00 (UK) Thursday 17 July.

"Any remaining tickets will go on sale to all Cityzens Official Members on 10:00 (UK) Friday 18 July. Subject to ticket availability, further sales windows may be announced ahead of the event."

Newly appointed head coach of the women's team Andrée Jeglertz will also speak to supporters during the event, which will run from 12.30pm until 5pm.
