Manchester United closed the gap to Aston Villa in third with a dramatic and tight 3-2 win over Fulham in the Premier League, despite a nervy finish at Old Trafford
Michael Carrick made it three straight wins as Manchester United interim head coach thanks to Benjamin Sesko's dramatic winner against Fulham.
Goals from Casemiro and Matheus Cunha put United 2-0 before the visitors came from behind through Raul Jimenez and Kevin. However, Sesko's goal inside the box almost immediately handed United all three points to strengthen their bid for a return to Champions League football.
After beating Manchester City and Arsenal in January, United beat Fulham and continued their fine form. After not be awarded a penalty for a foul on Cunha, Bruno Fernandes delivered a perfect cross for Casemiro to head home.
Raul Jimenez halved the deficit from the penalty spot after he was hacked down by Harry Maguire inside the area. However, United held firm to move just five off Aston Villa after their loss against Brentford.
