Manchester City head to Bodo/Glimt in the Arctic Circle with injuries, illness and suspensions hitting Pep Guardiola's squad

Pep Guardiola is unable to call on 10 players in his Manchester City squad to take on Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League. The Blues have flown to Norway without a hefty chunk of their first team as injuries, illness and suspension all take their toll.
Mateo Kovacic, John Stones, Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol, Oscar Bobb and Savinho are all long-term absentees for City, while Nico Gonzalez has missed the last two matches and is not yet ready to return. Bernardo Silva is suspended for the match and new signing Antoine Semenyo is not eligible to be added to the squad until the knockout rounds; the same will apply to Marc Guehi once he completes his £20m move from Crystal Palace.
City have been boosted by the availability of Omar Marmoush after his time away on international duty. The striker came off the bench in Egypt's third-place AFCON match on Saturday and missed a penalty in the shootout as Nigeria claimed the podium place.
Phil Foden is also included, but Matheus Nunes is absent. The right-back missed the United defeat with flu and has been left at home recovering, but is expected back in the squad to take on former club Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday.

Guardiola should at least be able to call on Max Alleyne, the young centre-back who was recalled from a loan spell at Watford this month to help the team deal with injuries to Stones, Dias and Gvardiol. The 20-year-old can be registered for the squad as a List B player under UEFA regulations, so should be able to partner Abdukodir Khusanov again at the back.
With 10 of the 19 outfielders making up City's List A unavailable for this game though, City will have to call on plenty of academy players to make up the numbers. Divine Mukasa, Charlie Gray, Stephen Mfuni, Kian Noble and Tyrone Samba have all been included in the travelling squad for Norway and could be asked to contribute.
City start the week in fourth place in the Champions League ahead of their penultimate game, two points shy of Bayern in second place - a top-two finish would confirm home advantage in the knockout ties until the final - and one point clear of ninth place that would force the team into the play-off round next month. Bodo/Glimt are 32nd in the 36-team table with three points and haven't played a competitive game in more than a month, although they did hold Tottenham to a home draw earlier this season.
City squad vs Bodo: James Trafford, Tijjani Reijnders, Nathan Ake, Omar Marmoush, Erling Haaland, Rayan Cherki, Jeremy Doku, Marcus Bettinelli, Rodri, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Nico O’Reilly, Abdukodir Khusanov, Phil Foden, Charlie Gray, Divine Mukasa, Max Alleyne, Rico Lewis, Kian Noble, Stephen Mfuni, Tyrone Samba
