Mazzara: Bianchessi could return to Milan with Galliani – the roles in mind

Adriano Galliani’s return to AC Milan is still possible, but it will take a few weeks to know whether it will materialise or not.

Talk of Galliani possible having a second spell at Milan surfaced weeks ago. However, the former CEO still has his current club Monza at the forefront of his mind given that they are in the process of being sold to an American fund, which would end the tenure of Fininvest.

It has been reported by reliable sources that handshakes are already in place between Galliani and the Milan ownership, but this needs to turn into signatures on paper. After a period of silence, doubts began to emerge, until reassurances arrived over the weekend.

Monza sale, then Milan?

Pietro Mazzara published his weekly column for MilanNews and in it he dedicated a section to Mike Maignan’s renewal situation, but also the noise that surrounds Galliani and his potential comeback.

“This week, we provided the latest updates on Adriano Galliani’s possible return to Milan. This is a scenario we’ll be holding onto until at least the end of September and won’t be resolved before the Monza deal closes,” he began.

“Rightfully and legitimately, many questions are being asked about how the Brianza-born manager would fit into a management structure as dense as Milan’s. The hope is that Galliani’s return, should it materialise, will benefit the entire Milan system.

“His performance will then tell us whether he has achieved the desired results. Mauro Bianchessi could also return, and he could be included in the Milan Future Project.”
