Things can change late in the mercato, and it seems AC Milan may be the reason for this in a few situations, including the future of one Hellas Verona player.
In the January mercato, things can change very quickly, and this is being seen with Milan currently. Jean-Philippe Mateta’s name has moved to the front of the list in the past 24 hours, but it is not the only move on the cards.
Like with the Frenchman, it appears the Rossoneri are also trying to hijack a move for Alphadjo Cissè, the Hellas Verona forward, who is currently playing for Catanzaro in Serie B.
Cissé situation changes
Born in 2006, the young Italian is a name of intrigue and until recently, it seemed like he would be heading to PSV. However, the Diavolo have caused a stir and are hoping to prevent his exit, instead hoping to land him.
Matteo Moretto has provided the latest update on the situation via MilanNews.
“PSV has had an agreement for days with Hellas Verona for Alphadjo Cissè, but in the past few hours, there has been a call from Milan that has blocked everything. Milan is trying to get in; it’s trying to figure out how much this deal could amount to.

“They tell me €10 million, including bonuses and compensation for Catanzaro. The finish line is not yet near, but Milan is trying”.
