‘Milan deal will be over’ – Leverkusen director gives now or never proposition for Boniface

AC Milan have made a big attempt for Victor Boniface this week, but now their chances may be dead in the water.

Everything seemed to be done with a move for Boniface; the clubs had an agreement, as did the player. However, Milan wanted to proceed with caution and asked for an extended medical test, which was completed on Saturday.

This morning, it was reported that the Nigerian was heading back to Germany, with some reports even stating that the deal was off. This was later solidified with Calciomercato.com reporting that the deal could not be done at the current price.

Deal nearly dead

In the past few minutes, Simon Rolfes, the Bayer Leverkusen sporting director, has spoken about the deal and offered a ‘now or never’-like proposal to the Rossoneri, as Fabrizio Romano relays from BILD on his X account.

“If Boniface comes back to Leverkusen, the AC Milan deal will be over. That’s no big secret. Renegotiating the deal? I don’t think that will happen. His physical situation has improved compared to the beginning.”

If there are doubts about the deal, and there is no chance of the price changing, it may just be better to look at other options.
