Milan Futuro’s stuttering form continues, as they were beaten 1-0 by Virtus CiseranoBergamo on Sunday afternoon.
Two early goals from Emanuele Sala and Lorenzo Ossola were not enough to clinch three points for Milan Futuro in their last game last weekend, as they drew 2-2 with Scanzorosciate to drop to fifth in the standings.
What followed today was a third consecutive match without a win, as Virtus Ciserano Bergamo walked away with all three points after netting the only game. The Rossoneri’s weekend – without the men’s first team playing – ends with defeats for the Primavera, Women and now the Futuro.
The visitors were on top in the first half, having a great chance in the 20th minute when Adenyo missed a header from close range. In the 38th minute, Eletu hit the post with a free kick from the edge of the box: his left-footed shot grazed the woodwork, but the ball went wide. Torriani made a good save to deny Marin, too.
The second half began with a chance for Sardo, who, after some good play, fired a right-footed shot from the edge of the box wide. The Futuro threatened again with Asanji in the 61st minute, but his right-footed shot missed the target.
Virtus Ciserano Bergamo responded decisively: in the 63rd minute, a corner from the right was met by Viscardi, who surprised everyone and beat Torriani. Chaka Traore came close to equalising but Cavalieri saved well, then the Rossoneri’s momentum waned.
Oddo’s team remains stuck on 35 points after the defeat in Group B of Serie D, dropping to seventh place in the standings and seeing Folgore Caratese – currently at the top of the table with 48 points – slip away.
