Milan Futuro 1-0 Breno: Sardo and Traore lead the way for Oddo’s side

2 hours ago 16

Milan Futuro returned to winning ways against Breno this afternoon, largely thanks to the performances of Jacopo Sardo and Chaka Traore.

After the defeat last time out, Massimo Oddo headed into today’s game under some pressure to turn things around, having fallen further away from the promotion play-offs.

Luckily, Oddo’s men started the game really well, coming close already after 9 minutes as Berkay Karaca fired a shot away from a good position. It was saved by the keeper, but it certainly fueled the Rossoneri, who continued to apply pressure on their opponents after that.

In the 30th minute, the new signing Jacopo Sardo ran with the ball to the edge of the box, firing a shot away. It was straight at the keeper, but a poor intervention resulted in Emanuele Sala getting to the rebound before being brought down by the keeper.

Chaka Traore stepped up from the spot and calmly slotted it home. It’s one of the calmest penalties I’ve seen in a while actually.

In the second half, the aforementioned Sardo had a header cleared off the line early on, while Simone Lontani also had a good chance. Breno weren’t completely out of it, though, also creating a few chancea albeit without any success.

Milan were able to see out the game and thus returned to winning ways after three games, just like the Primavera side did earlier this afternoon. So far, you can definitely say iot’s been a pretty good weekend for the club.

Albeit with one more game played than most, Milan are now fourth (thus in the play-offs side) with 38 points collected.
