Milan Primavera 1-1 Frosinone: Last-gasp Scotti penalty rescues a point

AC Milan’s Primavera side had to battle from behind to get a share of the spoils against Frosinone, but they did score late to get a point.

The Primavera bounced back well after a couple of defeats, beating Cagliari away from home in last Sunday’s early kick-off. Ossola and Castiello got the goals in the second half, but what will please the head coach Renna is just how solid his side were defensively.

However, there was no sign of this confidence in the first half against Frosinone at the PUMA House of Football. Lontani had a good chance early on but Longoni was the goalkeeper that was called into action a lot more frequently.

Unfortunately Longoni could do little about the opening goal at the midway point in the first half as the away side took the lead. A shot was stopped by the goalkeeper but straight to Colley, who volleyed in with his left foot.

In the second minute of seven minutes added at the end of the 90, Milan thought their big chance had gone when Scotti missed a massive chance from just a couple of yards out.

However, two minutes after that, he drew a penalty kick. Scotti dusted himself down and took on the responsibility from 12 yards, sending Minicangeli the wrong way to get a draw.
