Milan Primavera got another point on the board on Friday afternoon as they came from behind to draw with Hellas Verona.
The Primavera suffered a disappointing defeat in their derby against Inter on Sunday afternoon, conceding a goal in each half and eventually losing 2-0. With just one win in their last five league games, Giovanni Renna’s side were under pressure, slipping to 13th in the table as a result.
The first half began with a double chance for Milan from a set piece, as Plazzotta took a free kick at the near post, but the Verona goalkeeper kept it out. He only managed to parry it to Scotti though, who hit the post from close range.
Verona took the lead in the 17th minute. Monticelli made a great move on the left, crossing the ball to Pavanati, who broke through the Rossoneri defence and found himself with a practically open net. Ossola nearly equalised just before the break with a curling shot that drew another save.
The second half immediately brought joy to Milan, who got level through Filippo Scotti. Following a corner, the ball remained in the penalty area and the Rossoneri captain fired in with a right-footed shot.
A few minutes later, the Rossoneri had another chance. Mancioppi was brought down in the box, but the referee ruled it was not a penalty. The ball found Di Siena, who fired with his right foot, but the goalkeeper again saved.
In the 61st minute, Renna’s side had another great chance. Pandolfi flicked the ball to Di Siena, who quickly arrived and headed the ball on goal, but Castagnini was once again able to thwart him.
After four minutes of injury time, the referee blew the final whistle. The Primavera remain 13th with 18 points from 14 games, and just four wins.
