Milan Primavera clinched a point in their game against Monza thanks to two screamers, first Simon La Mantia and then Filippo Plazzotta.
Giovanni Renna and his boys started the game on the front foot, creating good chances early on in the first half. However, they failed to break the deadlock despite coming close on a few occasions, so the two teams headed into the half-time break on level pegging.
Luckily, it didn’t take long for the Rossoneri to break the deadlock in the second half, needing just 29 seconds. The midfielder, Simon La Mantia, took matters into his own hands as he fired a rocket past the goalkeeper (as you can see below).

Monza managed to fight their way back, though, as they scored not one but two goals to turn the game around. Renna’s boys struggled to get back into things but at least managed to muster up some kind of effort in the dying minutes of the game.
Sure enough, in the 89th minute, Milan found the crucial equaliser as the midfielder Filippo Plazzotta came up with an absolutely screamer. Just like the first goal, it was a strike from outside the box and this one was even nicer than the first.

The draw means Monza are still behind Milan in the standings, but one can’t help but think that Milan wanted more out of this game. Two wins and two draws in the last four games is a step in the right direction, but two screamers were needed today and that won’t be easy to replicate next time.
