Milan Primavera head coach Giovanni Renna was full of praise for how his side performed against Lazio on Sunday afternoon.
The Primavera had to settle for a 1-1 draw in the capital against Lazio, but they did at least keep their unbeaten run going. Both goals came in the opening 20 minutes, with Filippo Scotti firing in an equaliser not lon after the hosts had gone ahead.
Renna spoke to Milan TV after the full-time whistle to give his thoughts on the game and the performance from his team.
“We played a great match. Despite the absences, I have to say they weren’t felt. Today was Bianchi’s debut from the start; he’s a 2009-born player and deserves praise for the way he performed,” he began.
“Our policy is to develop young players and work hard, and when we have the quality, we always try to put it on the pitch. Mancioppi’s penalty? Even great champions miss them, it’s not a problem. In fact, when the chance comes, he’ll take it again.
“I liked the reaction from the team, who perhaps deserved to win. We dominated so much, and now we’re focusing on Juventus starting tomorrow.”
