This season, it feels like AC Milan have had to contend with more injuries than they have in recent years, and this is not the case.
There have been several injuries so far this season, and unfortunately, it has felt like the Rossoneri have been left struggling more than they have in other years. However, this is far from the first injury issue that the club have had.
Take the final year under Stefano Pioli, the defensive injury crisis that year was a large reason for the team’s struggle, and now Matteo Gabbia is a mainstay as a direct consequence of those struggles. Milan, thankfully, are nowhere near that level.
Better… somehow
They have undeniably struggled, though. The club have only had 14 injuries between the start of the season until the end of October. Only, here, potentially is a bit harsh, given this is still a rather high number.
#ACMilan's injuries up until the end of October compared:
➤ 2023-24: 18 injuries (13 muscular, 5 traumatic)
➤ 2024-25: 16 injuries (10 muscular, 5 traumatic, 1 ligament)
➤ 2025-26: 14 injuries (8 muscular, 6 traumatic)

However, it was two less than they had last season, and four less than the Diavolo had at this point in the 2023-24 campaign. Of those injuries, there is only one case where the club are worse off. In the past two seasons, there have been 10 traumatic injuries, five in each season.
This season, Milan have seen six, but this has also meant a reduced number of muscular injuries – down to eight.
