ML: Milan set to prepare assault for Liverpool defender in January – the details

AC Milan spent a lot of the latter parts of the mercato looking for another defender. However, no senior option arrived.

You can certainly question the window that Milan had. Whether it was a good or bad one depends on preference and optimism in certain areas. For example, you may see it as a great one due to the midfield’s quality. You may not see it the same way due to the defence.

Despite this, it seems the Rossoneri are not satisfied with things, at least defensively. Reports this morning suggested that a move could be made in January for a new defender, and another report this evening states the same, albeit with a different target listed.

As MilanLive reports, the Diavolo will make another attempt for Joe Gomez in January, after a move was made difficult on deadline day. In the final hours of the mercato, talks slowed due to Liverpool’s issues getting in a defender of their own.

However, the plan is to prepare an assault for January over the next few months. Gomez remains a ‘serious target’, so Milan will attempt to make themselves ready for their next attempt.
