ML: Milan still looking at Real Madrid striker and could use the ‘Modric factor’

AC Milan remain interested in signing a striker from Real Madrid, and Luka Modric could help them to convince him.

After being linked with countless strikers during the summer window, the only forward that arrived was Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea, a player who has become more accustomed to playing as a winger or attacking midfielder.

Thus, there is a lot of speculation that the management are still in the market for a centre-forward, with the possibility even floated that it could be a January move if Santiago Gimenez’s scoring struggles persist.

García remains a target

MilanLive confirm that the Rossoneri are looking for a striker to add to their squad. Real Madrid’s Gonzalo García was also mentioned in the summer as a target and he could leave the Spanish capital on loan to gain more consistent playing time.

The allure of Milan could certainly influence Garcia’s choice. There’s also the ‘Luka Modric factor’, which could push the striker to say yes, but Milan aren’t the only ones pursuing the player. Several clubs in England are keen to get their hands on Garcia including West Ham, Fulham, and Aston Villa.

The 21-year-old is also admired by Villarreal and Valencia who are ready to explore the feasibility of a deal, for a player who won the FIFA Club World Cup Golden Boot with four goals.
