AC Milan finalised their season ticket sale process today, and whilst official numbers are expected shortly, some information has been revealed.
Season tickets are not the biggest revenue for a club, after all, things like matchday revenues outweigh them long term. However, it is a minimum figure that the club will earn, and can help estimate revenues for different games.
So, they represent a significant importance for clubs as the season gets ready to full begin. Today, Milan saw their final day of sales take place, and some updates have been provided.
The key figures
Today, the season ticket sales came to an end, and whilst an official number has not been confirmed yet, MilanNews have learnt that the number had surpassed 38,000 season tickets sold. Which is more than half of the complete capacity of the ground.
Last season, 40,000 tickets were sold, so the final number will hopefully be around the same.
Furthermore, as MilanNews has also reported, the core fanbase is remaining. In fact, 85% of season ticket holders that have had a ticket for six (or more) years have renewed their membership again. It is likely this would be significantly higher without the Curva Sud’s banning.
Despite the sound of the stadium changing with the Curva’s omission, there is still a very loyal supporterbase, as you would expect. It also confirms the belief after a summer of significant change within the club.
