Some news has arrived regarding the conditions of Alexis Saelemaekers and Pervis Estupinan ahead of Sunday’s game against Fiorentina.
While waiting to understand more about the condition of Christian Pulisic and the recovery time of Adrien Rabiot, MilanNews speaks of a ‘sigh of relief’ when it comes to Estupinan and Saelemaekers, the wing-back duo.
The Ecuadorian returned from the international break with a knock, but his condition appears to be less serious than expected. Back at Milanello, the South American continued treatment on his left ankle, which was necessary for the aftermath of the sprain he suffered against the United States.
He also completed some on-field work, but this does not guarantee his presence on Sunday. The former Brighton man will continue to be monitored in the next couple of days with the hope that he can return to full training in time to play a part. If not, Davide Bartesaghi would likely be called upon.
As for Saelemaekers, he trained individually on the pitch. His recovery is progressing well, and he could attempt a return to the full squad training either today or tomorrow. He too might be on the bench against Fiorentina, at least initially, with Zachary Athekame poised.
