MN: Allegri and staff decide on squad for Virtus Entella friendly – who will and will not play

AC Milan will play a friendly during the November international break, and decisions have been made on who will be involved.

On Friday morning, Milan will play a behind-closed-doors friendly against Virtus Entella, a team currently ranked 14th in Serie B. It will be played in Solbiate Arno, at the Chinetti where Milan Futuro have their home games.

According to MilanNews, Massimiliano Allegri was the one who pushed for the game to be scheduled, to keep fitness levels high in the final break of 2025. All this is in the aim of arriving at the derby against Inter on November 23rd at as close to 100% as possible.

Who’s in and who’s out

It goes without saying that the 12 internationals that Milan have had called up by their respective national teams will not be able to take part. They will return to Milanello on Wednesday and Thursday, with the derby on Sunday.

The game will feature Ardon Jashari, who will be given extensive playing time. The Swiss midfielder returned to action a couple of weeks ago after a compound fracture of the fibula suffered in late-August, and it will be crucial for him to get some match rhythm back.

In addition to Jashari, Christian Pulisic will also be able to use the friendly to improve his condition, although he already returned to the pitch on Saturday evening in Parma, where he missed a chance to make it 3-2 in Milan’s final push.

The American remained at Milanello for this round of international call-ups thanks to intense mediation between the Milan management and the USMNT following Pulisic’s injury in the last two friendlies in the United States.

Joining Pulisic and Jashari will be Pervis Estupinan and Youssouf Fofana, as well as a number of Milan Futuro players who will bolster Allegri’s rotation, given the aforementioned dozen absences due to national team duty.

Unless there are any changes in the next few days, Adrien Rabiot will be absent from this friendly. He still has some specific work to do before returning to the squad next week, which will lead up to the Milan derby. Santiago Gimenez will miss out too as he continues ankle treatment.
