After the draw against Juventus, AC Milan were keen to return to winning ways, and they did just that, thanks to a Rafael Leao brace.
There is a lot that can be said about the win last night, and there is probably going to be internal frustrations about it. Leao’s double rescued Milan, something that has not been seen at San Siro in recent years.
However, they could have scored an extra goal, and perhaps the goal that they conceded was sloppy. Perhaps that is overcritical, but this is what Massimiliano Allegri is seeking: perfection.
Three factors
What is known, though, is that Allegri’s team is shaping into his own more and more with each passing week. It is too early for ‘comprehensive’ assessments, says MilanNews; however, it was another tick in the credible challenger box.

It was a victory of ‘endurance’, ‘perseverance’, and ‘maturity’, which is even deemed to be Allegri’s win. However, that is a compliment to the wider team, showing how committed they have become to their manager’s ideas.
The reward for this, too, is being seen. For the first time since 2019, Allegri was alone at the top of Serie A, thanks to results elsewhere. This is despite the issues within his squad with injuries. A message is being sent to the rest of the league, and the Diavolo are only making it louder.
