AC Milan will, for the second game running, be without Massimiliano Allegri on the sidelines for the game against Lecce.
Tomorrow night, Milan will hope to reach the Round of 16 with a win. After they easily overcame Bari in the first round, they face Serie A opposition in the Round of 32, and naturally, a bit of a harder game will be expected.
With that said, though, the Rossoneri have already gotten the better of the Giallorossi this season, earning a 2-0 victory at the Stadio Via del Mare in late August.
Allegri to watch on
Unfortunately for the Diavolo, though, they will again be without head coach Massimiliano Allegri, who was suspended for this weekend’s game against Udinese. However, the suspension is separate from the Serie A ban.
As MilanNews reports, his ban is the final game from the suspension he got in the Coppa Italia final against Atalanta in May 2024. If Milan are to progress, then he will be allowed back on the touchline after his two-game suspension.
So, instead of him, Marco Landucci will be present on the sideline, continuing his work from the weekend. Considering the record that he has so far with the Rossoneri, this is not necessarily a bad thing. Five goals scored without a goal conceded, it could, as they say, be much worse.
