AC Milan’s second week of training began yesterday, and it is all about the build-up to the preseason tour of the far east.

The team are working under the orders of Massimiliano Allegri of course, and – with the exception of last Saturday – he has been having them doing a double training session every single day to try and build fitness.

Only Santiago Gimenez and Luka Modric are missing among the players from the squad. The striker and the midfielder will return in early August, once their post-Gold Cup and Club World Cup holidays are over.

MilanNews report that at the end of this week, things will start to get more serious. A training match against Milan Futuro is scheduled for Saturday morning at the Milanello Sports Centre, and it will be played behind closed doors.

After the intra-squad friendly, in the evening the Rossoneri are scheduled to depart for their tour of Oceania and Asia, where they will face Arsenal, Liverpool and Perth in friendly matches.

With just over one month until the season officially begins, Allegri will be hoping for some help from the transfer window given that only Ricci will be a new player available to work with.
