MN: Como move at risk for Morata as Galatasaray reject €4m offer from Mila

Galatasaray have rejected the idea of cutting Alvaro Morata’s loan short, despite AC Milan putting €4m on the table for them to do so. As such, the striker’s move to Como is now at risk.

Ever since the start of the summer, Morata has been heavily linked with a move to Como. The Spaniard is keen on returning to Serie A and at Como, he would also work with his compatriot Cesc Fabregas, who is the head coach.

However, the move has been held up by Galatasaray all summer long. As Morata is on loan from Milan, Como can’t negotiate directly with the Turkish side. Instead, Milan need to reach an agreement with the latter regarding cutting the loan short.

Galatasaray have rejected the first offer

According to reports from MilanNews this evening, Milan had put €4m on the table for Galatasaray to cut the loan short, but the Turkish side rejected the offer. Despite securing Victor Osimhen, they believe Morata can be very useful for the upcoming season and would like to keep him.

It should be noted that Galatasaray paid €6m for an initial 12-month loan in January, so Milan offered a little bit more than half of this loan fee back in exchange for letting Morata go. As for Como, it’s certainly not the response they expected.

It remains to be seen if there is a compromise to be made. Milan are pushing for the move as Como are offering a permanent transfer, worth around €10m, while there are no guarantees that Galatasaray will redeem Morata at the end of the loan.
