AC Milan and Genoa have now fully agreed on every detail of the deal for Koni De Winter, so the schedule for his arrival has been confirmed.
Milan agreed to sell Malick Thiaw to Newcastle United after an improved offer was tabled over the weekend and a €40m deal was agreed, bonuses included. As a result, the Rossoneri had to find a replacement, and they agreed a €20m package for De Winter within 24 hours.
The itinerary
According to MilanNews, De Winter is expected in Milan this afternoon and will immediately undergo the usual medical at La Madonnina clinic before signing his contract at the club’s headquarters.
Tomorrow, the Belgian defender will have his first training session at Milanello under the guidance of Massimiliano Allegri, with whom he previously worked with during his time at Juventus.
In the past few hours, Milan and Genoa have completed and signed all the paperwork for De Winter’s permanent move to the Rossoneri for a fee of around €20m, including bonuses.
The 23-year-old replaces Thiaw as mentioned above, who is set to join Newcastle in the coming hours. All that is missing for both transfers, therefore, is the official announcements from the respective teams.
