More up-close details have emerged from AC Milan’s 1-0 win over Lecce at San Siro on Sunday night through a photographer.
It was Niclas Füllkrug’s night, with the German striker scoring his first goal for Milan since arriving, heading Alexis Saelemaekers’ perfect assist in with 15 minutes left on the clock. DAZN revealed some interesting behind-the-scenes details yesterday, and now MilanNews have too.
The star of the show is Füllkrug himself, who seems to have settled in very well already. Many have focused on some of the former West Ham man’s physical traits, such as his missing tooth and broken toe, but it seems he has another quirk.
As he entered the field, Füllkrug seemed to begin a superstition. The German grabbed both his ears and began pulling them, and this gesture continued during the sprint that took him from the substitution area to the Lecce penalty area, by which time he was grabbing only his right ear.
Another detail was captured thanks to Daniele Mascolo’s photography concerning Luka Modric. The Croatian – who came on late in the match in place of Ardon Jashari – modified his boots.
He seems to cut near the material on both sides near the ankle, presumably for greater freedom of movement, and he was also sporting a bespoke design on the boots.
