MN: Füllkrug sidelined due to broken toe suffered during Fiorentina clash – the latest

AC Milan will be without Niclas Füllkrug for a while, with a report now confirming what had been rumoured on social media.

It seemed that Füllkrug was heading for another start after featuring alongside Christian Pulisic this weekend. Rafael Leao is still not 100%, so the next in line is the German, who has impressed in his cameos so far.

Unfortunately, though, he will also now head to the injury room.

Fullkrug injured

MilanNews reports that the January signing has broken a toe during the game against Fiorentina this weekend. As a result, he will be sidelined for ‘some time’, with him definitely set to be absent for the games against Como and Lecce.

Of course, he arrived at San Siro to help with the striker issues. This season, the Rossoneri have often been without Leao or Pulisic, whilst Santiago Gimenez is also recovering from a long-term injury at present.

So, with the German out, Nkunku will now get a chance to continue impressing. He himself got injured recently and only returned to training last week. However, he did score at the weekend, so perhaps he can continue his streak moving forward.

Whoever takes his place, it is another big blow for Massimiliano Allegri.
