MN: Gimenez to miss Torino game as individual work continues – the latest

1 day ago 7

Snaitaog Gimenez is likely to miss Monday’s game against Torino as well, still working individually at Milanello to recover from his ankle injury.

At the start of November, Gimenez explained his decision to take a step back and focus on recovering his ankle fully, having played with a minor injury in the weeks prior to that. Since then, he has been working individually at Milanello.

The initial goal was to have him back for the derby against Inter, but he remained sidelined for that one. Clearly, the Mexican needed a little more time than expected to recover and the process isn’t done yet, with the striker expected to miss another game.

Another game on the sidelines

As reported by MilanNews this afternoon, Gimenez continued to work individually as Milan resumed full group training at Milanello today. The players were at the training ground yesterday too, but only those who didn’t start against Lazio worked on the pitch.

Some reports are saying that the striker could be back against Sassuolo, but the situation remains uncertain for now. One can imagine that he wants to play a few games before the January window to prove himself, following rumours of a potential sale.

Against Torino, it should be Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao up front for Milan, which isn’t a bad duo to have to be fair.
