MN: GNK Dinamo agree €10m buy clause in Bennacer’s loan contract

Ismael Bennacer has departed for Croatia, pending a medical, and he could have played his last games for AC Milan already.

Everyone at Milan will hope that Bennacer hits the ground running in Croatia, after all, the midfielder has been a Rossonero since 2019, and whilst his appearance numbers are not as great as some that have not been at the club for as long, he still remains a well-liked figure.

It is clear that he is probably no longer at the level the Rossoneri need, and at 27, there could well be a resurgence in his career. However, it is probably best for all parties that the chance happens away from the Diavolo, considering their own instant need for success that Bennacer cannot really contribute to.

Earlier today, it was reported that the loan deal is ‘free’, with Dinamo covering around 40% of his wages, and MilanNews have given a little more insight into things.

Within the deal, a buy-out clause has been inserted, and this is valued at around €10 million, just €2m shy of what was agreed with Marseille six months ago.
