Some good news has come from Milanello a couple of days before AC Milan welcome Como to San Siro.
The Milan squad were in training today continuing to prepare for the rescheduled game against Cesc Fabregas’ side, which will take place on Wednesday night. There are some doubts about the team Massimiliano Allegri will field, but one thing has at least become clearer.
As MilanNews report, Alexis Saelemaekers returned to training with the rest of the squad this morning. The muscle problem that he had has been resolved, so the Belgian will be eligible for the match against Como.
Now we must see whether Allegri chooses to field him from the first minute, or if he puts faith in Zachary Athekame. The Swiss has performed well in the last couple of games, providing the cross for the opening goals against both Bologna and Pisa.
As a reminder, Saelemaekers suffered an adductor problem during the match against Lecce, which forced him to be substituted in the 80th minute. He was in doubt for the return to face his old club Roma, but gritted his teeth and started the match at the Olimpico, only to be substituted at half-time.
Since then, the former Anderlecht has missed the next two matches, against Bologna and Pisa. Therefore, Saelemaekers’ name will be back on the squad list on Wednesday evening.
