MN: Milan’s predicted XI to face Roma – two battles to decide for Allegri

Massimiliano Allegri still has a couple of battles to decide regarding AC Milan’s starting XI against Roma tomorrow, according to a report.

There have been a lot of ifs and buts regarding Milan’s squad for the game, but now that the matchday squad has been ironed out, reports on the starting eleven have emerged. It looks like Allegri will make two changes to the game against Atalanta mid-week.

The defence could surprisingly stay the same, according to MilanNews, as Fikayo Tomori avoided any serious knee injuries and is in good enough condition to play. If he can’t make it from start, though, then Koni De Winter is ready to step in and take his place.

In midfield, it looked like Ruben Loftus-Cheek was nailed on for a starting spot – following an impressive cameo off the bench – but in the end, he should be on the bench. This means that both Samuele Ricci and Youssouf Fofana are keeping their spot in the eleven.

Up front, since Loftus-Cheek is starting in midfield, it should be Christopher Nkunku and Rafael Leao from the first minute. The Frenchman has a point to prove after a slow start but he has never started with Leao before, so that will be interesting to see.

Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori/De Winter, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Ricci, Bartesaghi/Estupinan; Nkunku, Leao.

Predicted bench: Terracciano, Pittarella, De Winter, Odogu, Athekame, Estupinan, Loftus-Cheek, Jashari, Castiello.

Injuries & suspensions: Rabiot, Pulisic, Gimenez.
