AC Milan are closing in on bidding farewell to Tommaso Pobega, and this time in what would be a permanent deal.

Pobega spent last season at Bologna who did not exercise the option to buy that they had as part of the loan deal. However, since his return to Milan it has become clear it would just be a fleeting visit to Milanello, with the Rossoblu still keen on extending his stay.

Pobega deal agreed

As reported by MilanNews, Pobega’s future is now sealed: the Italian midfielder is not a part of Massimiliano Allegri’s plans, because the club are looking to sign another midfielder having already brought in Luka Modric and Samuele Ricci.

Pobega is on the verge of going back to Bologna, at the request of head coach Vincenzo Italiano. He liked what he saw from the Italian in what was a historic season for the Rossoblu, which ended with a Coppa Italia final victory against Milan.

The report goes on to state that Pobeba’s move to Bologna is now a done deal. Milan will receive €8m in what will be a permanent transfer, and it will be pure capital gain given that the 26-year-old came through the youth academy.
