This week, the Under 16 AC Milan team will get a new head coach, and it is set to be Marco Parolo, the former Lazio captain.
In the past few days, there have been a few links between Parolo and Milan, and it seems that these links will be fulfilled, as MilanNews reports that the former Lazio midfielder will take a job with the Under 16 Rossoneri team.
The new coach will ’embark on a new adventure’, quite literally, taking his first steps into the coaching world after time spent doing punditry for DAZN, where he has regularly covered the Diavolo in depth, even discussing how he feels Igli Tare will be a success.
Interestingly, the report also specifies that throughout his playing career, he never hid his passion for Milan, showing that it may mean a little more to be granted the opportunity.
Parolo intrigue
It is possible this relationship has helped his chances of getting the job, considering Tare signed the Italian midfielder during his spell with the Laziali, and remained there for the rest of his playing career, before retiring in 2021.
Considering the amount of young talent that has come through in recent years, it will be interesting to see how Parolo does with the younger players coming through the ranks. However, it will also be of intrigue to see what style he implements for the age group, considering this is his first role.
