AC Milan are back in action on Thursday night as they take on Genoa at San Siro, and the players returned to training at Milanello today.
After the two days off granted by Massimiliano Allegri following the win in Cagliari, the squad resumed training on Monday at Milanello to begin preparations for the match in three days against Daniele De Rossi’s Genoa.
MilanNews are reporting that Christopher Nkunku once again did individual training due to the ankle problem that forced him to miss the last league away match in Sardinia. His condition will be reassessed, with his participation in the match against Genoa still highly questionable.
It is a blow for the Frenchman, who has been forced to sit out after scoring his first two Serie A goals in the 3-0 win over Hellas Verona to close out 2025. It also lessens the attacking options for Massimiliano Allegri, with Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic seemingly not at 100% either.
Away from the field, it appears as though the rumours about Nkunku leaving for Turkey just a few months after his €37m arrival from Chelsea are fading away, with Fenerbahce not willing to meet the asking price and the player keen to stay and prove his worth.
