There is a chance that Adriano Galliani will return to AC Milan this year, and things are progressing according to plan.
During the international break, things were expected to be updated between Milan, Monza and Galliani. Now, in the international break, things are doing exactly that, but there is nothing really too groundbreaking.
Return update
As MilanNews write this afternoon, the closing of Monza’s sale from the Berlusconi family to Beckett Layne Ventures is expected to be completed. This is exactly what the Rossoneri have been waiting for, given that Galliani will only be ‘available’, so to speak, after the transaction is completed.
Right now, the former Milan CEO still has his current club at the forefront of his mind; they are his only priority right now. When things change, after the closing ‘ceremony’ of the deal, then steps might be made by all parties.
Agreements are already in place between Galliani and RedBird, and they need to be signed, but only after Monza has left its current ownership. Then, naturally, Galliani would also be free to take up his new role.
Nothing can be done too soon, though. If, for whatever reason, a return falls through, he will remain with the Biancorossi, so relations and respect must be upheld.
