Noah Okafor has been one of the stand-out names in preseason so far, with four goals scores in his last two appearances.
MilanNews writes that Okafor is among the various evaluations that Massimiliano Allegri and his staff are doing. The Swiss, who scored a brace against both Liverpool and Perth Glory, has proven comfortable in a more central position.
When you get him closer to the goal, the goals come, but it’s not a surprise. At Salzburg, he showed off his skills playing as a second striker, while he seems to struggle a bit when move out wide to play as a pure winger.
Today in Australia he scored another double after the one against Liverpool, and he seemed to link well with both Samuel Chukwueze and Alex Jimenez in attack. Perhaps his status as an almost certain exit will change after these entertaining performances.
A change of plans?
In recent weeks Okafor has attracted interest from several teams in Brazil, Besiktas, several Bundesliga clubs and Bologna. However, Milan have been clear: they are willing to discuss his departures, but only with a formula that guarantees a sale.

Therefore, it would have to be a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy deal in order for the management to give the green light. Offers of a loan, even with an option to buy, have not been considered.
At the start of the window, Igli Tare was clear: any changes to the attacking wingers will only be made if Okafor and/or Chukwueze are sold. There’s a willingness to listen to offers, but not a need or urgency to get rid of them at all costs.
This is also because the former Salzburg player showed up to training camp with a good attitude and, above all, finally in adequate physical shape. Allegri certainly wouldn’t be opposed to taking a chance on him if no satisfactory offer comes in either.
He would obviously start lower in the pecking order, but the fact that he can be used – albeit in different ways 0 both in the centre and on the wing is another plus. We’ll see if Okafor can convince Milan.
