After the draw against Pisa, AC Milan are preparing for Tuesday evening’s trip to Bergamo to face Atalanta.
According to MilanNews, Massimiliano Allegri will give a starting spot back to Fikayo Tomori, who was rested against the Pisa and was replaced by Koni De Winter. The Belgian gave a penalty away that allowed the Tuscan side to level, though in truth it was a bit of an unlucky one.
Up front, Rafael Leao – who has scored three goals in his last three matches – is guaranteed a starting spot, while Santiago Gimenez and Christopher Nkunku are in contention for the other slot alongside him.
Today is an important day at Milanello to determine whether Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Pervis Estupinan will return to training with the team this morning and therefore be eligible to at least be part of the matchday squad.
The English midfielder is struggling with muscle fatigue, sustained in the final training session before the Fiorentina match. The good news though is that he does not have an actually injury, so things will be taken on a day to day basis.
The Ecuadorian wing-back meanwhile injured his ankle during a match on international duty, and is yet to return to full training.
