AC Milan play four games between now and the derby against Inter on March 8, and the objective is simple: win them all.
As MilanNews writes, Inter have moved eight points clear at the top again after hammering Sassuolo 5-0 on Sunday. Milan have a game in hand, but they cannot concern themselves with the title race, because a top four spot remains the main objective for the season.
A chance to build momentum
No match should be taken lightly, especially for the Rossoneri, who have almost always struggled against so-called smaller teams and often dropped crucial points along the way. However, the next quartet of matches will see Milan face Pisa, Como, Parma and Cremonese.
On paper it is four winnable games, but do you remember how those first-leg matches ended? A 2-2 home draw to Pisa, a 2-2 away draw at Parma, a 3-1 away win against Como and a 2-1 home defeat – the only one so far – against Cremonese.

The result: five points out of 12 available, a number far too low for a team aiming for a top-four finish, let alone the title. The points lost in Parma still cry out for revenge, after a two-goal lead blown. The Rossoneri also led against Pisa but failed to win, and Cremonese are the only blemish on the record.
Milan has shown they are strong and can handle the pressure of big matches, but now they must be ruthless against those battling at the bottom. They inevitably need to reverse the trend, to then be able to approach the derby on March 8th, carefree and with a knife between their teeth.
