This season, AC Milan have been noticeably better so far, and that is thanks to the work done by Massimiliano Allegri.
There can be a lot said about Milan this season, and most of it, so far, has been good. Of course, there has been an occasional blip, but the Rossoneri are not in a position where they need to be worried about these minor issues. In fact, they are in a very strong situation.
Right now, a genuine conversation can be had about potential Scudetto credibility, and the Diavolo, whilst not actively promoting it, are certainly listening and at the table.
Out with the old, in with the new
Of course, several reasons can be put forward, but there is a clear one. As MilanNews suggests, this season, there has been a massive change in the performance against teams in the top six, or at least in last season’s top six.
It was widely noticed, last season, how the Diavolo had an issue against the teams around the top, and we looked at the issue around that time. However, with 14 points against Bologna, Napoli, Fiorentina, Roma, Juventus and Atalanta – drawing only the last two – a significant improvement can be felt.
With this, though, perhaps a new issue has emerged, where Milan are not focusing as much on the ‘lesser’ teams, considering they have only gotten a point against Cremonese and Pisa.
