MN: Predicted Milan XI to face Bologna – Pulisic or Rabiot from start

Massimiliano Allegri is expected to make a few changes to the starting XI for tomorrow’s game against Bologna, with Koni De Winter potentially getting his debut.

The manager was very coy about his team selection during the pre-match presser, basically giving nothing away, and there have been conflicting reports on the matter as well. Now, however, there at least seems to be some idea of how Milan will line up.

As mentioned, De Winter could get his debut for the Rossoneri tomorrow, replacing Strahinja Pavlovic in the defence. Further up the pitch, it’s a battle between Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic (currently 45-55%), according to the latest from MilanNews.

Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, De Winter; Saelemaekers, Loftus-Cheek, Modric, Fofana, Estupinan; Pulisic, Gimenez.

If Pulisic starts, then Ruben Loftus-Cheek will play in midfield to the right of Luka Modric. However, if Rabiot stars, then the Englishman will play in a role behind Santiago Gimenez. It will also change the tactics a bit, so that’s something for Allegri to carefully evaluate.

The likes of Samuele Ricci and Christopher Nkunku will be good options off the bench, though the latter only has about 30 minutes in his legs. Still, with his qualities, he could come on and make a big difference.
