AC Milan played in a friendly against Virtus Entella today, and several first-team players were named. However, there were a few absences.
Massimiliano Allegri fielded quite a strong eleven to face Virtus this morning, naming six of his first team players, with five being starters. Ardon Jashari played as a starter for the first time since August, whilst Christian Pulisic, Pervis Estupinan, Youssouf Fofana, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Pietro Terracciano also started.
However, they are not the only players to have remained at Milanello through the international break.

The absentees
Fikayo Tomori, Santiago Gimenez and Adrien Rabiot have all remained in Italy after not being called up for their national teams. However, there is a reason for each player’s absence, as you would imagine.
As MilanNews writes, Rabiot and Gimenez are still recovering, but they should be good to play in the Derby della Madonnina next weekend. Tomori is still not fully fit after his injury against Atalanta.
Of course, with Tomori’s situation, it brings up the question about defensive cover again, given that there is only one real replacement. It points towards Milan needing the January mercato for some intervention again, and with the Scudetto a possibility, it should be taken.
