MN: Tomori unlikely to be fit to face Juventus as individual work continues

The risk of Fikayo Tomori not being available for Sunday’s big game against Juventus continues to grow, as he worked individually again.

Tomori came off in the second half of the victory against Napoli at San Siro on Sunday night, and after the game it emerged that he had sustained an adductor problem and it was not just merely a tactical change.

The English defender is being evaluated day by day which means he has avoided any kind of serious strain or tear. However, as each day passes with him working individually, the chances of being fit for the game in Turin decline.

According to MilanNews, Tomori underwent an individual training session on Thursday as well. Therefore, his participation against Juventus is unlikely, with summer signing Koni De Winter ready to replace him.

It should be a like-for-like change in the right centre-back role, and it would be De Winter’s first start in the league since arriving from Genoa. Not only that, but it would be a return to the old stomping ground, as he made his Serie A and Champions League debut with Juve under Allegri.
